This is a one room Amish school house where they teach children from 1st thru 8th grade. We learned the Amish only go to school through the 8th grade and the teacher only has an 8th grade education herself. The little house to the right of the school is the outhouse as the school house has no running water and no electricity. When lights are needed, they run off of battery power.
