We had a lovely day exploring Nantucket. Sadly we had gotten the most recent covid shots the day before and were SO tired that we had to go back to our airbnb to sleep after just 3 hours there. OH well...still a fun time there!
This diagram shows that the greatest mass migration in North American history started in 1812 and ended around 1859. This journey taken by pioneers was almost 2000 miles long through rugged wilderness to chart a new destiny ending on the Pacific Slope. It was quite moving being reminded what the emigrants endured in crossing the US from Independence, Missouri to Oregon Country.
